The New Versions
In this chapter, we will see some examples of where the new versions corrupt the precious words of God. Before we go into the new versions, let us look at some verses that warn people about changing the word of God.
Jeremiah 23:36 ”...for ye have perverted the words of the living God…”
Deuteronomy 4:2 “Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it…”
Proverbs 30:6 “Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”
Revelation 22:18 “..If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
One would think the “scholars” would get the picture, but they continue to change the precious words of God still today. History repeats itself and the devil is still attacking the word of God just like he was in Genesis 3:1, “…Yea, hath God said…”.
NIV
The NIV takes out 17 complete verses, 64,576 words and takes out major portions of other verses. It also completely takes out words such as “mercyseat”, “Jehovah” and “Godhead”. The NIV removes terms like “regeneration,” “impute,” “remission,” “propitiation,” “New Testament,” and many others. The NIV also takes the word “hell” completely out of the Old Testament. Not only that, but the NIV perverts doctrine.
The NIV removes the precious Blood of Christ in Colossians 1:14, calls Joseph the father of Jesus in Luke 2:33 and takes out the word “begotten” in John 3:16, which makes God a liar since He said that we become sons of God when we are born again. In Isaiah 14:12, the NIV calls Lucifer the morning star when in Revelation 22:16, Jesus is called the Morning Star. Why would anyone trust such a version?
If that is not enough to convince you, then maybe you should know about the publishers of the NIV. The NIV publishers, Zondervan were purchased by HarperCollins publishers. HarperCollins publishes pro-homosexual books, pornography and a satanic bible. This can be proven by going to their website on the internet.
NKJV
The NKJV claims to only update words, which is a lie. The NKJV corrupts the word of God just like the rest of the new versions. The NKJV removes the word “hell” 23 times, while replacing it with the words “Hades” and “Sheol”. Hades is Greek mythology turning the words of God into a myth in the NKJV.
The NKJV also changes the word “earring” in Genesis 24:47 to “nose ring”. The NKJV removes the words “worshipped him” in Matthew 18:26 and Matthew 20:20, which robs Jesus from worship. It removes the word “Lord” 66 times, “God” 51 times, and “heaven” 50 times. In the New Testament the NKJV removes 2,289 words. The NKJV makes over 100,000 word changes, while they want you to think that they just updated the language.
NASV
Frank Logsdom, the original chairman of the NASV committee actually denounced his work in the NASV and said that he was in trouble with the Lord for having a part in the translation. We can clearly see why when comparing the NASV with the King James Bible.
The NASV relied heavily upon codices Sinaiticus and Vaticanus, which are corrupt, Catholic Greek manuscripts. In Luke 4:4, the NASV takes out, “but by every word of God”. We can see why they take that part out simply because the NASV does not contain every word of God.
The NASV also corrupts the Trinity in 1 John 5:7 by taking out “in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” In Luke 2:33, the NASV calls Joseph the father of Jesus Christ. In Luke 4:8, it omits, “Get thee behind me, Satan.” The NASV takes out, “Thou shalt not bear false witness.”, in Romans 13:9. There are hundreds of examples just like this, but this should make the issue clear.
All of the new versions corrupt the word of God and should not be trusted. If you do not believe this, then get your King James Bible and compare verses with the new versions and you will see that the author of the new versions is not God. The new versions claim that they are only updating the language, but what they do not tell you is that they are using corrupt Greek texts, removing words and even complete verses, corrupting doctrines and much more. I like the old saying, “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!” The King James Bible is without error and is inspired by God, so why try to change it?
